Getting along or having to live in Harmony

I was wondering if there would be much less political antagonism if we didn't get 100 ads a day and mailboxes full of fliers every day for 4 years, and then 4 more, and 4 more . . . Then I thought, I'm sure there would be less if we were better people at times, but that's the funny thing about people. When we are convinced we know what is good, or right, or best it's difficult to hear opposing views without wanting to save the other from their conclusions, or just stop listening. I Miss the days when you could calmly talk to someone, hear their opinions, and either learn something, or agree to disagree (no, I don't miss the Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormon Missionaries at my door!).
